Rainbow Colored Lake

“Don’t go near the lake!” shouted the little girl’s mother. “I wanna see the fish! I’ll just take a peak!” Her mother continued gathering berries and shrubs for tonight’s diner. The sky is clear. No clouds in site. The sun is shinning its last glorious rays over the lake. This attracted the little girl’s attention more. Evading large rocks, the child wondered closer to the lake, plucking wild flowers as she descends towards the placid reservoir. Reaching the boundaries, she noticed something moving on the sand. Looks like a large salmon but it can’t be it because the shape is oddly similar to something else. She rushed towards the thing but it jumped immediately in the water. To cover for her disappointment, she went into the water. It was cold. Refreshing. It made tingling effects over her fragile body. The child played for awhile, kicking, throwing stones. Then, she heard a large splash. She looked everywhere but the only wave coming from the water was from where she stands. The child ignored it and continued playing. She noticed a small and steady wave approaching her. “The fish!” The soft wave stopped a feet away from her. “Come here little fishy! Don’t be scared. Come on. Show yourself. I promise I wont hurt you.” Instantly, a man with a double bladed bolo smacked her head until it reached her midsection. With his massive hands, ripped the body into two. He surveyed the surroundings and saw an old woman in the bushes. He took the carcasses and descended into the water like he was standing in the elevator. “Honey, its time to go! Your father will be home soon!” She received silence. The lake was calm.
